We went for a brief stroll in La Coruna this morning after breakfast on deck by the covered pool. Unfortunately the systems were down so the poor crew had to manally write down each person's details which took a bit of time. This didn't bother us as we were in no rush. We strolled along the marina and looked in some of the shop windows. All we ended up buying though was a supply of pepsi max and sone local beer (that we sampled in a local bar and quite liked. I also bought my obligatory Christmas decoration. Luckily by the time we went back on board all systems were working again so getting back onboard was a lot smoother
I woke up early and did an hour in the gym and some time in the hydro pool and heated loungers whilst Ric slept in. We met up around midday and had a snack at the Neptune Grill around the covered pool. Later I tried my luck at bingo but alas was unsuccessful. We had dinner in the MDR tonight and had q lovely meal. Alas I was feeling a bit nauseous (side effect of the antibiotics Mum - not the ship's movement). So I retired to the cabin at 9pm and just chilled reading my book and weirdly watching last week's episode of Holby on BBC HD! Oh btw - by 10pm on Sat we already knew who won Strictly as the ents guy doung the quiz asked the audience who won - lol.
As it was dark by the time we sailed we went up to the Crows Nest to have a drink for saaway. We net one of the couples from Facebook - Lesley and Robert and had a lovely chat with them. Then we went for a bite to eat in the Belvedere buffet as we both wanted something light for dinner and didn't fancy getring dressed up. After dinner we stopped off at the Spa and Ric treated me to a pass for the thermal suite for the duration of the cruuse. Lucky me! We did the pub quiz in the Rising Sun and then retired to the cabin after a short detour to the casino.
We ended up boarding about 2.30pm and went straight to our cabin and unpacked. We soon realised how spoilt we had been either having an accessible cabin our suite as it was hard ti find space for all our clothes and Xmas decs.
Morning everyone - it is coming up to 9am and we are docked in La Coruna. I still haven't worked out how to prepare my blog off line then copy it when in a roam free or wifi zone so please accept my apologies for a rushed update. We det off from Southampton about 3 hours late as the ship was still loading up provisions. Ric said it was to get enough loo roll on board fir me - cheeky!
